Painterly. The term means juicy, loose, brush strokes showing with drips and splashes. We are taking a nod from Charles Reid who wrote a book on painting flowers in this style. Each week in May, I will introduce you to a well-known watercolor artist of flowers. We will be inspired by their style but turn out our own style. Violets are a great spring flower to start this series. This video is up now. You will need a wax drawing implement like a candle or white crayon. Live and zoom step-by-step classes Tuesday and Wednesday at Showcase 2:00-4:00 PM. Independant subjects paint group 10:00 to noon. Details on the class page of www.Showcaseartcenter.com. April showers make way for May flowers! (No class May 23 and 24).
