Color Study

The past two weeks we designed still life set ups and potential compositions. Now choose one of your designs. Add color but keep an eye on value. Make as many color studies as you like. Find your favorite one and take a little more time to work it into a finished painting next week. You may never want to stop this process. The video is up now (www.showcasesartcenter.com) of painting this corn color study. It got a bit busy and long, so it is sped up so you can see the entire process. I want to try it again using either masking fluid or titanium white for the silk hairs. Next week we meet at Showcase for classes:
