Cold Beaver Moon

Thursday night we will see the full moon. It is called the cold moon because it is the longest night of the year. In November we had the Beaver moon. I am combining the two to make our project this week. It has a two part video posted now: The trees are done in part one ( approximately 20 minutes) and the beaver and foreground are in part two (approximately 6 minutes). I almost scrapped the project, but salvaged it by splattering Titanium white paint after it was done and added some more to the branches. You can leave off the beaver or trees to customize it to your taste. That is why the videos are in two parts. Videos are up now at www.ShowdcaseArtCenter.com.
Classes next week are as follows:
10:00 AM to noon Tuesday and Wednesday for independent projects
1:30-3:30 PM for step-by=step of the Cold Beaver Moon.
See you in December!

Beautiful post capturing the mood and symbolism of the Cold Beaver Moon — it’s inspiring to see art connected so closely with nature and seasonal change. Reading this also made me think about everyday sustainability, like Are Ziploc Bags Recyclable? Small choices really do matter.
