Things With Wings

Last week we made our own sketchbooks. So, it is natural for this week to start filling one up. The weather was good for the last three days. There was a hint of spring in the air. My thoughts are looking forward to spring, so I chose the theme "Things with Wings". I am going to fill my pages with birds, bees, butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, angels and whatever else I think of to fit the theme. Last week we also had a class on dip pens. So, I started my drawing using a dip pen and India ink. On this week's video I show using a more modern marker to draw. Either works well. Some other tricks included in the video are sponges and watercolor pencils. Choose your theme or follow mine. You do not even have to make something representational. Maybe texture, mark making, or color will be your theme. Classes this week are Tuesday 2-4 MST and Wednesday 10-noon live and zoom. Video classes are 24-7.
