Take Time to Design

Entering the harvest time of the year we hopefully will have more fresh fruits and vegetables available. Before rushing off to eat them, enjoy arranging them and then photographing them for great still life references. Here are some tips on doing this and controlling the light source for more interesting shadows. We will take the entire class time to create still life compositions. Bring any items you would like to include to make your compositions more personal. This will be a 3-week series where we take a bit more time to think, design, arrange, study and get ready to make better paintings. I will post all three weeks' videos because I will be away on weekends. Working ahead will not harm your progress, but we will be taking each design step individually for the next three weeks.
