Rocks and Water

A great way to get recharged is to try a new medium. For our last week in March, we will paint a favorite topic: rocks and a small waterfall. The reference photo is from Eldorado Canyon. This week we will paint it using watercolor. Each week thereafter, we will try it in a different water media: Gouache, Acrylic Gouache, and Acrylic. It will be fun to compare the finished paintings in different media. I used a masking fluid pen in this one. The video is up now at www.ShowcaseArtCenter.com on the video class page. I will provide the different media in class next week:
10:00 AM to noon Tuesday and Wednesday for independent painting
1:30-3:30 PM Tuesday and Wednesday for step-by-step rocks and water in watercolor
March came in like a lamb. Let's see if it goes out like a lion.
