Wisteria

Wisteria is a beautiful vine dripping with lavender cone shaped blossoms. Linda shared a photo from France that we will use to paint this scene. A winding path takes the viewer into the scene where wisteria is the star growing over an arbor entrance to a partially hidden villa. Textures are created in the greenery using plastic wrap, waxed paper and bubble wrap. The lesson is to simplify the scene and allow watercolor to do what it does best. Join the class to paint this scene Tuesday by booking on the class page at www.showcaseartcenter.com. Paint on location or via zoom. Painting groups are also available Tuesday morning live or Wednesday live or zoom. The video of "Wisteria" is up now on the video class page. This scene was so fun, I can't wait to paint it again with you.
